Q. Does the Sensitive Soap Co. actually make their soaps from scratch or do you use the base of another company?
A. Yes, we make all our soaps from scratch on our farm just south of Coffs Harbour in NSW. We looked into ordering a natural soap base to create our soaps, but we couldn't find any that had ONLY natural ingredients; and all of them seemed to contain ingredients that we deemed as unsafe.

Q. Is soap made with lye safe to use on the skin?
A. Yes, soaps made with lye are safe to use on the skin once they have been properly cured. During saponification, the reaction between the fats and lye produces a product that is safe for use on the skin after all curing has been completed.
Q. Is lye a natural ingredient?
A. Yes, lye is obtained by using rainwater to leach wood ashes, which are strongly alkaline and highly soluble in water.

Q. I have very sensitive skin will your products be suitable for me?
A. It's tricky to know exactly how an individuals skin will react to a product. Our founder grew up with eczma and could never use soap on her skin. Hence why she created this range which was initially just going to be for her and her family. We use minimal, pure, natural ingredients & ours is the only soap which her skin does not react too & is also moisturising enough for her and her family. We recommend you start with our Pure Coconut Oil Soap Bars.

Q. How long does shipping take?
A. The process of soap making takes one month from start to finish. So it depends on when you order, whether the order is ready or whether its still curing. Typically, when the order is ready for dispatch it will take 3-5 business days to get to you. And don't forget orders over $60 are free.

Q. What is your returns policy?
A. If your order arrives faulty we will replace it. We do not offer any option for simple change of mind. We know you will love our products but if for any reason you aren't happy with them we are human and will ofcourse treat each scenario with respect and do our best to accomodate where we can within reason. We want your experience to be a great one, every time.
